What is an API? noun Computing Simply put an API is the middle person, that sits in between your browser, app, or other piece of software, and UnionCloud. They would use some code that when executed sends a request (via the API) to UnionCloud, which then, assuming that your authentication checks out, and that you have the relevant permissions will return the data you have requested, in JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) Format. You could then use more code on your end, in the browser or app to prettify this, or use the information in graphs, charts or for other purposes.
