Dynamic KPI's

Key Engagement Statistics

By default, here you have a spider diagram showing how many users you have engaged through the various areas in comparison to your mission group and comparator. This can be changed to a column chart by clicking on the thumbnail under the ‘Select a chart type’ heading.

Widgets

You can also set your own KPIs using the 'Manage Widgets' panel. Underneath the manage widget panel you are able to add widgets under the following categories:

Elections

  • Latest Election Turnout
  • Whole Year Turnout

Clubs & Societies

  • Number of Clubs & Societies
  • Number of Memberships

Marketing & Comms

  • Page Impressions
  • Unique Users
  • Pages Per Visit
  • Registered Students
  • Union Opt-ins

User Groups

  • User Group Members

Find the widget you want to add and click the large blue plus symbol. This will place the widget below the Key Engagement Statistics chart. Here you can set the different variables. All widgets have a target variable for you to input your KPI goal and some widgets have a start date variable if necessary. The 'User Group Members' widget has a search field so you can search for the desired usergroup.

Once you set a target UnionCloud will update the widget and provide you with the data on how that KPI is performing. You can also use the 'Chart' button below the Elections and User Group widgets which will take you to the Charts section of the NUS Analytics.

Charts

This section gives you a visual overview of your Elections and Usergroups on your site. Follow the steps below to set your datasets and start getting detailed reports about your elections and usergroup data.

Select Analysis Type

Here you can load two types of datasets, Elections or Usergroups.

  • Elections - This pulls data from any elections you have run on UnionCloud.
  • Usergroups - This pulls data from any usergorups you have. This includes custom and dynamic usergroups.

To add a dataset click 'Edit Dataset'. This will take you to a page called 'Listing Datasets' where you can see any previously added datasets. From here click 'Add Dataset'.

On this page you have three options:

  • Analytics Analysis Type - set which type of dataset you are adding, either Elections or Usergroups.
  • Name - give your new dataset a relevant name.
  • External Comparator - check this to compare your data with your comparators data.
  • Included Elections/Usergroups - Here you can search for your elections or usergroups. Select one or more.

Once complete, click save and this will add your new dataset to the list.

Select Comparators

This panel will facilitate comparison with other datasets on Unions in the next release.

Select Timeline

This panel will facilitate comparison with alternate timelines in the next release.

Generate

Once you have added your datasets you can run a report by clicking 'Generate'. Below is a breakdown of each report type. Where relevant you will be able to see your data in a pie chart, stacked column chart or column chart.
