This Community Wiki, is our venture in hoping that we can provide to you the best, most up to to date, comprehensive, and yet easy to understand support possible. Though our team will be working hard to ensure we cover, and keep on top of this, providing help, support, and guidance on all areas of UnionCloud, there are only so many hours in the day. As with all 'Wiki' based websites, we're going to be asking for a little bit of help from you guys, the community. These are the major areas you will come across using the ''Back End'' of UnionCloud.

The Admin section of the UnionCloud Dashboard contains all of the tools you as the Administrator are likely to need to make sure that your site functions, and functions correctly. Everything from setting up the specific ID's students are allowed to register with, Single Sign On, Nominal Codes for your finance teams, Data Uploads, and more.

It is the main suite of tools you will use to manage your site, [[Setup]], is mainly used, as it would suggest, in the setup of your website, the crucial settings, and, custom email responses, often this is made up of the settings that doesn't require changing too often. The other group of tools, you will use more frequently, though which tools are available to you will depend on which UnionCloud package you are on.

MarComs is a Portmanteau of the words ''Marketing'', and ''Communications'', and that is largely what this section covers, it includes all of the areas to edit content on your site, add '[[Articles Manager|News Articles]]', send out Emails to your members ([[Campaign Manager|Campaigns]]), and managing all of your [[Images Library|Uploaded Images]] & [[Documents Manager|Documents]]. 
 
Some areas, like Developers Toolkit, are slightly more advanced still and allow users with the know how to alter the structure of their site, the navigation, the order / location of pages and more, it also gives the ability to add widgets, sub-sites, and with one of the extra packages, customise the CSS and Javascript within the site, allowing a greater level of bespoking.

Groups is the catch all term we use to describe any student group we want to give some access and independence to on our Website. Typically, these are Sports Clubs & Societies, however, some also use it for Course reps, mailing lists, interest groups and one-off projects.
 
If the people in charge of said group have been assigned permissions, then they can also manage themselves, their own ''minisite'', their own memberships / prices, events, emails and more.

Previously, the logic for Alumni Anonymisation considered any students that had not logged in within, and were not students since, the period you configure from the Admin >> Setup >> Alumni screen, however this presented an issue that if a user hadn't logged in, but still had an active Group Membership, or an Event Ticket in the future, they could still be deleted. We have amended the logic to not consider users for deletion in either of these cases.

The file has saved, but is then processed in the background before being applied to UnionCloud, if whilst the file is being processed there are any issues, incorrect syntax, missing bracket etc. The file won't update on UnionCloud, but we have still given the end user a message saying updated successfully.

===Automated Data Anonymisation Amendment===
Previously, the logic for Alumni Anonymisation considered any students that had not logged in within, and were not students since, the period you configure from the Admin >> Setup >> Alumni screen, however this presented an issue that if a user hadn't logged in, but still had an active Group Membership, or an Event Ticket in the future, they could still be deleted. We have amended the logic to not consider users for deletion in either of these cases.

UnionCloud Events now use a Google Maps API, they look up the location of an event, display the map showing it's location, and in the back end, store the Latitude and Longditude of these events. One of the primary reasons for this is that when the apps are pulled through into TOTUM, a user can tap the map, on iOS or Android, and using the Lat/Long it will use the given devices default maps app to start navigation to the location.

The Admin section of the UnionCloud Dashboard contains all of the tools you as the Administrator are likely to need to make sure that your site functions, and functions correctly. Everything from setting up the specific ID's students are allowed to register with, Single Sign On, Nominal Codes for your finance teams, Data Uploads, and more.

It is the main suite of tools you will use to manage your site, [[Setup]], is mainly used, as it would suggest, in the setup of your website, the crucial settings, and, custom email responses, often this is made up of the settings that doesn't require changing too often. The other group of tools, you will use more frequently, though which tools are available to you will depend on which UnionCloud package you are on.

MarComs is a Portmanteau of the words ''Marketing'', and ''Communications'', and that is largely what this section covers, it includes all of the areas to edit content on your site, add '[[Articles Manager|News Articles]]', send out Emails to your members ([[Campaign Manager|Campaigns]]), and managing all of your [[Images Library|Uploaded Images]] & [[Documents Manager|Documents]]. 
 
Some areas, like Developers Toolkit, are slightly more advanced still and allow users with the know how to alter the structure of their site, the navigation, the order / location of pages and more, it also gives the ability to add widgets, sub-sites, and with one of the extra packages, customise the CSS and Javascript within the site, allowing a greater level of bespoking.

===Opt Out Statement on Representation Email===
It was brought to our attention that the opt out statement was still present on the footer of the 'Representation' Email types. This created confusion as this was an email type that a user is unable to opt out of. When clicking the link it took a user to their profile page to opt in/out of the Comms/Commercial emails only. This footer has now been removed on Representation email types.

We have updated CK Editor to Version 4, the latest published version. Moved from 4.5 to 4.8 
We implemented this using CK Editor - Rails plugin

The Admin section of the Union Cloud Dashboard contains all of the tools you as the Administrator are likely to need to make sure that your site functions, and functions correctly. Everything from setting up the specific ID's students are allowed to register with, Single Sign On, Nominal Codes for your finance teams, Data Uploads, and more.

It is the main suite of tools you will use to manage your site, [[Setup]], is mainly used, as it would suggest, in the setup of your website, the crucial settings, and, custom email responses, often this is made up of the settings that doesn't require changing too often. The other group of tools, you will use more frequently, though which tools are available to you will depend on which Union Cloud package you are on.

MarComs is a Portmanteau of the words ''Marketing'', and ''Communications'', and that is largely what this section covers, it includes all of the areas to edit content on your site, add '[[Articles Manager|News Articles]]', send out Emails to your members ([[Campaign Manager|Campaigns]]), and managing all of your [[Images Library|Uploaded Images]] & [[Documents Manager|Documents]]. 
 
Some areas, like Developers Toolkit, are slightly more advanced still and allow users with the know how to alter the structure of their site, the navigation, the order / location of pages and more, it also gives the ability to add widgets, sub-sites, and with one of the extra packages, customise the CSS and Javascript within the site, allowing a greater level of bespoking.
