Transaction Fees

From UnionCloud Support
Jump to: navigation, search

UnionCloud uses a payment gateway called Realex to handle all of the online card payments that are made through UnionCloud, due to the nature of any services like this, they charge a fee per transaction made using the service, this is unavoidable and is the model that nearly all online payment gateways follow, though we always strive to find the best deal we can on this.

We always endeavor to make this as affordable as possible, so as not to affect your ability to conduct sales online. As such we only ever aim to use the transaction fee within UnionCloud to cover the costs. Not as a way to finance the platform.

2.0% of Cost £0.06

In this case it doesn't matter whether you are currently being charged at the rate of 7.5%, or 2.5% because both of these values come out below the minimum cap, the Transaction Fee for this membership will be charged at the minimum amount of £0.30

Exceptions

With some UnionCloud contracts the option is available, in which we will waive the Transaction Fees that we charge for Memberships and Membership events, i.e. for clubs and societies, this does not waive the transaction fees on commercial activity.

  • This isn't something that is available on free contracts
  • This requires a union committing to a three year contract
  • This also requires a meeting some minimum standards regarding data transfer frequency and quality

If this is something that you would like more information about, please get in contact with us.
